STAYING SUCH A WOMAN
Le donne hanno corpi delicati e figure piccole, grandi spiriti e desideri infiniti in una società in cui esiste ancora una domanda fondamentale: essere donna è un'opportunità o una minaccia?
Ognuna di queste donne rappresenta una donna dentro di me, e tutte abbiamo un simbolo simile dentro, che è la speranza. Ma, per costruire fiducia e coltivare l’ottimismo dentro di noi, dobbiamo lottare per raggiungere i nostri obiettivi e dimostrare la nostra femminilità.
Women have delicate bodies and diminutive figures, great spirits, and infinite desires in a society where there is still a basic question: Is being a woman an opportunity or a threat?
Each of these ladies represents a lady within me, and we all have a similar symbol within, which is hope. But, in order to build trust and cultivate optimism inside ourselves, we must battle to achieve our goals and demonstrate our femininity.
MAHYA RASTEGARD
Mahya Rastegard si descrive come una fotografa documentarista sociale che si concentra sulla registrazione di storie significative sulle vite delle donne. Dal 2014 lavora a un progetto fotografico documentaristico a lungo termine sulle donne iraniane. Le raccolte fotografiche di ognuna di esse prendono la forma di racconti di vita, quindi rappresenta la loro vita fotografandole.
Mahya Rastegard describes herself as primarily a social documentary photographer focusing on recording significant stories of women's lives. She has been working on a long-term documentary photography project on Iranian women with meaningful stories since 2014. The photo collections of each woman take the shape of life tales, implying that she is talking about the lives of these women by photographing them.
