DON'T BREATHE

Per esercitare maggiore tirannia e repressione, il potere dominante ha fatto qualcosa ai suoi dissidenti facendoli innalare delle sostanze sconosciute per cui quando espirano emettono del fumo e gli agenti che li riconoscono li devono arrestare. Ignaro della legge, un uomo incontra uno dei dissidenti e l'incontro cambia la direzione della sua vita al punto che decide di emigrare in un posto migliore con il dissidente, sperando in una vita migliore.

To exert more tyranny and suppression, the ruling power has done something to its dissenters that they exhale smoke when they breathe, and the agents must arrest these people wherever they find them. Unaware of the law, a man meets one of the dissidents, and the encounter changes the direction of his life to the point that he decides to immigrate to a better place with the dissident, hoping for a better life.

MILAD NASIM SOBHAN

Milad Nasim Sobhan è nato nella provincia iraniana di Yazd nel 1989. Ha conseguito un Master in Graphic Design presso l'Università d'Arte di Teheran. Nel 2012, ha studiato sceneggiatura e regia presso la Hilaj Independent Cinematic Academy. Il suo primo “esperimento” in questo settore è stato "Mobile" nel 2015. Dall'uscita di Mobile, ha pubblicato altri cortometraggi biennali, tra cui Swapped (2017), She Like To Me (2019) e Don't Respira (2021). Dall'inizio della sua carriera i suoi film sono stati inclusi in oltre 20 festival cinematografici internazionali e hanno ricevuto nomination come miglior film e miglior sceneggiatura più di dieci volte in vari festival cinematografici. Ancora oggi, presenta i suoi lavori in vari festival cinematografici nazionali e internazionali.

Milad Nasim Sobhan was born in the Iranian province of Yazd in 1989. He holds a Master's degree in Graphic Design from Tehran's University of Art. In 2012, he studied scriptwriting and filmmaking at Hilaj Independent Cinematic Academy. As an experiment in the industry, he launched "Mobile" in 2015. Since the release of Mobile, he has released more short films on a biannual basis, including Swapped (2017), She Similar To Me (2019), and Don't Breathe (2021). His films have been included at over 20 international film festivals since the beginning of his career. More notably, they have been nominated for Best Picture and Best Script more than ten times at various film festivals. As of today, he still features his works at both national and international film festivals.
